Busy bees!

Our bethel sure has been busy the last few months!! The most important news is, we have two new members and one on the way!! Sisters Emily and Maggie affiliated to our bethel last month, they have recently moved here from Virginia, and their mother is a past bethel guardian from California. Next month their sister, Maura, will turn ten and be initiated into our bethel! We will have doubled our membership this term!!
Caitlin and Suzannah went to Leadership camp with Ashleigh as their driver. All three ladies had a lot of fun and learned a lot about being a leader and fun ideas for things to do with our bethel. Don't forget to check out the photo album!

We have four photo updates!

Check out the new albums and leave comments, pretty please!

Also we now have a Facebook group, Job's Daughters Bethel 146 Chula Vista. It is members only so you must request to join and we hope you will!

Our installation is coming up, and so is Grand Bethel! We are so excited.

New Year, Getting Up To Date.

We have been busy bees (or is that Job-bees? haha..heh..) since I last posted! We had our Installation and installed our Bethel Guardian Council, we now have a new Bethel Guardian, Mrs. Lohmeyer, which is very exciting. We also have a new council member, Mrs. Edwards and we are looking forward to working with her, she is so much fun!
Right after our installation, on that very same night in fact, we had our big Christmas party! We ate cookies, drank hot cocoa, and made fantastic decorative Christmas trees. Then we opened traditional English Christmas crackers with paper crowns inside, and did our gift exchange. All the girls had a good time, check out the pictures in our gallery!
Christmas Party

Since then we have had a couple of meetings and are working hard on perfecting the work for our offices this term. Suzannah, as the highest officer, has taken on the task of being our presiding officer at our meetings, even though she is not yet Honored Queen, in addition to her duties as Junior Princess. Caitlin has been working on bringing us excellent Librarian's Reports to make our meetings more interesting. On January 28th we visited an Eastern Star chapter in San Diego to say hello and tell them about Job's Daughters and what we do, and how our Bethel in Chula Vista is doing. Hopefully it inspired some of them to bring girls to join us in our fun. The girls showed off their Bethel robes in the presentation. After the meeting we went to Starbucks and discussed some upcoming fun activities and Leadership Camp.

Saturday the adults are going to the special adult volunteer training, and then we have a meeting on Monday, so you'll be hearing from us again soon. Until then, this is your webmistress Ashleigh, signing off!!

Masonic Picnic!

On July 12, 2009, members of our bethel attended the annual Chula Vista Masonic Family picnic. We had many members of council as well as three majority members and one girl and her sister there, and their dog! We spent time with people from other Masonic organizations such as Rainbow Girls, Eastern Star, and of course, Masons! There was even a clown there, named Wee Willie! He was actually very tall, and he made balloon animals. We played volleyball, and squirted each other with water, and at the end of the day some of us won door prizes. It was a fun day out in the sunshine here in California! Tonight we are getting together for an ice cream social, we'll let you know how it goes!

Hello!

Welcome to our blog! This is my first post, I am Ashleigh, Director of Epochs for Bethel 146 and I have been running our website for six years. Our old website, that is. We had an Angelfire website, but with all the great new websites out there I felt it was time for a change. We've already got some Youtube videos, and we needed a place for pictures, and I wanted our new site to revolve around a blog, so Google offered all those things, conviently connected to each other. Look at me, I sound like an advertisement! But I'm hoping to have a lot of fun and be able to connect to our members and Job's Daughters friends more easily this way! Thanks for stopping by!
